Effects of Therapeutic Group Activity in Reduced Depression and Social Interaction for Stroke Patients

Abstract
Objective : Treatment of stroke patients conducted by the therapeutic group activity decreased depression and to promote social interaction by examining the effect of depression treatment program every stroke applied to the working group is to identify the effect.

Methods : From August 8, 2011 to October 7, 2011 by Guangzhou C work in the hospital being treated for brain injury patients in the study agreed to participate in one of six patients, two times 60 minutes per week working group therapy program was carried out.

Results : The mean depression severe depression from 18.71 to 14.14 points while the light condition significantly decreased. Social interaction skills enhancement point average was 0.45 to 1.12, 11 to 15 years the quality of the social interaction is improved from 22 to 29 showed that height.

Conclusions : The therapeutic group activity with occupational therapy program reduce depression and to promote social
interaction showed that the effect. Forward to many destinations on depression and social interaction skills in the development of effective treatment programs and research work will come to be.
